Weak Leader who? During the time of Duterte, 10K Pinoy construction workers in Saudi Arabia were displaced. Pres. Duterte discussed this with the Saudi leader before but nothing happened, as what Mr. Teddy Locsin said, the issue was already a lost cause, but when President Marcos talked to the Crown Prince MBS in the APEC meeting, PBBM revived the issue and the Saudi leader assured that the workers will get paid, a total of P30B, no fanfare, just plain diplomacy from BBM, it worked. Bagama’t magbibigay benepisyo ito para sa 10,000 apektadong OFWs, hindi masasabing manipestasyon ito ng pagiging epektibong lider ni Marcos sapagkat tungkulin naman talaga ng parehas na pamahalaan ng Pilipinas at Saudi Arabia na tulungan ang mga manggagawang inaabuso ng mga kumpanya lalo pa’t ang kanilang pagtatrabaho overseas ay bunga ng labor export policies na nais pang palawakin ng kasalukuyang administrasyon.

Ang pagpapaunlad ng industriya at agrikultura sa Pilipinas upang magbigay ng sapat at disenteng trabaho sa mga Pilipino ay mas epektibong solusyon upang hindi na sila masadlak sa anumang porma ng pang-aabuso sa ibang bansa. Dagdag pa rito, tuloy pa rin ang panawagan ng mga grupo ng OFWs na panagutin ang mga kumpanya lalo na iyong mga mas maliliit na kumpanya na hindi naman nag-file ng bankruptcy ngunit nagtanggal at hindi nagbayad sa mga manggagawang Pinoy.
