May pakikipag-alyansa si Leni Robredo sa KABAG Partylist. Nagkaroon ng open endorsement si Leni Robredo mula sa Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) kung saan bitbit ng urban operatives at ng mga NPA units ang kampanya nito. Bagama’t sinusuportahan ng Makabayan partylists ang kandidatura ni VP Leni Robredo, kasinungalingan ang pahayag na may open enodrsement ng CPP ang kanilang pagtakbo. Pinabulaanan na ito ni Jose Maria Sison sa pamamagitan ng isang pahayag na inilimbag sa website ng CPP. Walang anumang “memo” mula sa central committee ng partido. Gayundin, pinabulaanan ng Office of the Vice President ang fake news na ito.
